Start-Up

The movie Start-Up from 2019 tells the story of a young man named Taek-il (played by Jeong Min Park) who dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur in the tech industry. Despite his ambition, he faces several setbacks and is unable to find funding for his start-up venture.

One day, Taek-il meets a kind-hearted loan shark named Sang-pil (played by Ma Dong-seok), who offers to invest in his business idea. Initially wary of Sang-pil's intentions, Taek-il eventually agrees to work with him and is introduced to a world of high-stakes deals and dangerous rivalries.

Complicating matters is the fact that Sang-pil is being pursued by a ruthless criminal organization, led by the enigmatic CEO Young-hwan (played by Yum Jung-ah). Meanwhile, Taek-il finds himself drawn to a mysterious woman named Do-hee (played by Jeon Yeo-been), who is hiding a dark secret of her own. As he tries to unravel the mystery surrounding Do-hee, Taek-il must also navigate his complicated relationship with Sang-pil and his own growing sense of ambition and responsibility.
