Tim is a successful stockbroker who longs for the college days and has lived vicariously through Darryl's schooling experience. However, with Darryl's newfound powers, Tim's fun is about to be taken to the next level. As Darryl tries to maintain a grip on reality, he finds himself caught up in a dangerous game of corporate espionage that threatens his life and those around him. Brad Dourif plays one of the sinister scientists behind the drug experiment and his character's intentions are not always clear. One of the film's themes is the race to get ahead in corporate America, no matter the cost. While Darryl is initially thrilled by his sensory superpowers, he soon realizes that his control over them is limited, and they begin to consume his every waking moment. In the end, the movie makes the point that the price of absolute sensory awareness is not worth the potential cost.
