LABOR DAY, EAST CHICAGO is, as one might expect, Tom Palazzolo's documentary of Labor Day festivities in the blue-collar East Side of Chicago. Organized by the East Side Lions Club, Labor Day's 1978 celebrations included amateur boxing, clowns and the crowning of Miss East Side 1978 from among her subjects.
