Gym Teacher

Gym Teacher is a 2008 television movie directed by Paul Dinello and starring Christopher Meloni, best known for his role on Law and Order: SVU. The film also features Nathan Kress and Chelah Horsdal in supporting roles.

The story revolves around Dave Stewie (Meloni), a high school gym teacher who has never quite moved on from his glory days as a championship wrestler. He's well-liked by his students, but doesn't get the same respect from his colleagues, who view him as something of a joke.

Kress, who at the time was best known for his role on iCarly, is also impressive as Roland. The character is a bit one-dimensional - he's the underdog who's trying to prove himself - but Kress brings enough heart to the role to make it work.

Horsdal, who plays Stewie's love interest, doesn't have a lot to do in the film, but she's a solid presence when she's on screen.
