Adventures in Pornoland is a pseudo-documentary focusing on the journey of Ethan (Brad Brough) and his fiancee Jaime (Taryn O'Neill) as Ethan gets sidetracked from a career in Hollywood by the adult industry. Brad and Taryn seem to be the only one's who understand this movie is a farce - the rest of the cast is made up of real folks from the adult industry including such industry favorites as Ron Jeremy, Dominica Leoni, Taylor Wane, and Kimberly Kane. Directed, written, and starred in by Brough this movie provides a candid look at the lower side of the porno industry. It also has a fair degree of nudity, sexual content, and adult themes as might be expected considering the subject matter. There is also a significant degree of language and some mild drug usage in regard to instances of smoking and/or drinking. Focusing on Ethan, a Canadian Television Director, Adventures in Pornoland documents his efforts to take his career to the next level by breaking into the Hollywood life. He and his fiancee Jaime pack up and move to Los Angeles. Sadly his attempt seems to be coming to naught and money continues to get tighter and tighter. At last he gets in touch with an old friend, David (Greg Salman), currently working as a director of low-budget adult films. While initially just an attempt to make money and support Jaime, who is working as a bartender to make ends meet, it quickly becomes something more for Ethan. As the film progresses several questions crop up regarding what Ethan is willing to sacrifice for his obsession. Is he willing to forget his original plan to become a big shot in Hollywood? How far is he willing to enter into heart of the adult industry? And most importantly - can he abandon his ever faithful girlfriend Jaime, especially with their upcoming nuptials?
