Sons of Hollywood chronicles the life and times of three men who aspire to step out of the shadows of their parents, who are famous and influential members of society in Hollywood. The pilot, having originally aired in 2006, has the protagonists leaving the mansions of their wealthy parents to begin to forge a life of their own. Randy Spelling, Sean Stewart, and David Weintraub, who portray themselves in the series, lead lives that are far out of the realm of the socially cautious. The influence of their parents' wealth on their mental development and maturity are painfully obvious with all the shenanigans in which they find themselves. Although they seem mild-mannered at times, the young men's desire to forge a path of their own leads them to make many decisions which would have otherwise been made in a different way, had their fathers not been so successful and wealthy. The show also portrays the tensions between these friends, most notably in the pilot episode which shows the protagonists partying in Las Vegas.MORE
