Joshua is in love with Victoria Stokes who is the daughther of a wealthy buisness man Nathan Stokes. Victoria is promised to be engaged by her father to Langley Priscott's son Jeremiah Priscott but she doesn't want to marry him because she's in love with Joshua Forbes.
