However, when Venu decides to express his love to Anu, he finds out that she is already engaged to a guy named Sunil. Venu is heartbroken, and he decides to leave Anu alone, as he can't handle seeing her with someone else. The rest of the story follows how Venu comes to terms with his feelings and decides what he really wants in life. Sontham is a beautifully shot and directed film.
