In the year 2024, COVID-19 has mutated into a deadly virus called COVID-23, which has claimed the lives of over 110 million people worldwide. The United States government has resorted to strict quarantine measures, with infected individuals being taken away to quarantine camps and their families being monitored by the Department of Sanitation.

In the midst of all of this chaos, we meet Nico, played by K.J. Apa, a motorbike courier who is immune to COVID-23. Nico is in love with Sara, played by Sofia Carson, a famous artist who is also immune to the virus. They communicate through video calls, as physical contact between them is forbidden due to quarantine regulations.

Nico begins to worry when Sara stops answering his calls, so he sets out on a dangerous journey to find her.
