Return to Peyton Place

Return to Peyton Place is a drama film from 1961 and is the sequel to the highly successful film adaptation of the novel Peyton Place. Like its predecessor, this movie is set in the fictional New England town of Peyton Place and explores the lives of its inhabitants.

The plot centers around Allison Mackenzie (played by Carol Lynley), who is now a successful writer living in New York City. The movie boasts a talented cast, with Carol Lynley shining as Allison, the intelligent and independent writer. Jeff Chandler delivers a strong performance as Rodney, the conflicted lawyer torn between the town's social expectations and his true feelings. Eleanor Parker is also excellent as Betty, the wealthy socialite who is not as shallow as she initially appears.

Return to Peyton Place is a well-crafted and entertaining film that is worth watching for fans of the novel or the first movie.
