Not Your Mama's Roller Derby makes you want to don your own quad skates and black fishnet nylons and join Providence's Roller Derby women, Burnin' Helen, Craisy Dukes, and Whip Tease who skate undaunted as they elbow pass their opponents on the track. Through interviews of the PRD's original players, current PRD players, film footage of earlier day roller derby and footage of the Philadelphia's East Coast Derby Extravaganza (2008), the filmmakers reveal what attracts viewers to this fast- action sport.
