Along the way, he encounters a series of mishaps and misadventures, including being stranded in the middle of nowhere, getting into a fight with a group of bikers, and even being mistaken for a robber. As he makes his way closer to his hometown, Jake begins to realize the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of family. He starts to see his father in a new light and remembers the happy moments they had shared before his mother's death.
