Gina. Seattle Songbird tells the extraordinary story of Gina Funes, a Sephardic Jewish singer of Turkish descent who rose through the male-dominated world of entertainment with grit, grace, and undeniable talent. Spanning 90 years of Seattle's cultural and musical evolution, the film traces Gina's journey from childhood stages to opera houses and jazz clubs-while navigating single motherhood, industry sexism, and the enduring challenges faced by women carving their own path. Featuring rare archival footage and interviews with artists like Merrilee Rush and Fred Radke, this documentary is a moving portrait of identity, resilience, and the quiet revolution of a life lived in song.
