Chrome Shelled Regios is a manga adaptation of Shusuke Amagi's Japanese light novel of the same name. The series is set in the far off future, in a world that is extremely polluted and is overrun by hordes of destructive and dangerous creatures simply known as filth monsters. The remaining survivors of the human race have been forced out of their homes and made to live in small isolated mobile communities called Regios. When a young, yet incredibly skilled, fighter named Layfon Alseif enrolls himself into the Academy city of Zuellni, he is instantly noticed by his superiors at the academy. Nina Antalk, the leader of one of the surviving military units, asks Layfon Alseif to join her squadron. Uncertain of what a military life will hold for him, Layfon reluctantly accepts Nina's invitation into her squad, becoming part of humanity's rag-tag freedom fighters.MORE
