In a role based loosely on his real life, Bill Welychka plays a washed-up middle-aged former high-profile entertainment journalist, desperate to recapture the glory of his youthful fame. Landing in Kingston on another of a series of lonely, low paying, no-profile local TV hosting gigs, Bill suddenly is given an opportunity to return to national prominence. With the help of his ex-wife, Kingston-born TV producer- extraordinaire Amy (Anna Sudac), and bankrolled by an eccentric benefactor (Jesse MacMillan), Bill dives deep into the Kingston music scene to put together a demo reel of music interviews to prove that he's still got what it takes. Assisted and distracted by an array of local characters (Tracey Guptill, David Rockne Corrigan, and Rob Baker from The Tragically Hip) can Amy help Bill turn back the clock and relive his glory days?
