Mapla Singam

Mapla Singam is a Tamil romantic comedy directed by Rajasekhar starring Anjali, Yogi Babu and Rajesh Gopalan in the leading roles. The film came out in 2016 and revolves around the life of three characters who find themselves in a hilarious situation.

Anbu's parents play a game of deception, and they tell Guna's father that Anjali is not fit to be his daughter-in-law. However, they have no choice but to go along with the plan when Guna's father discovers that Anbu's parents have lied to him. They come up with another scheme that involves a fake groom named Singam, who is intended to marry Anjali.

Things take an unexpected turn when Singam turns out to be a real person who has taken on the role of being the fake groom. A hilarious sequence of events unfolds, and the viewer experiences the comedy of errors that ensue.
