Maggie's Plan

Maggie's Plan tells the story of Maggie (played by Greta Gerwig), a young and independent woman who decides to have a child on her own using a sperm donor. However, her plans for motherhood become complicated when she falls in love with a married man, John (Ethan Hawke), who is unhappy in his marriage to Georgette (Julianne Moore), a brilliant and successful academic.

Maggie, a college administrator, has always been a planner and a fixer, but she never anticipated the emotional complexities that come with love and relationships.
