Kid Speed

Kid Speed is a 1924 silent comedy film that stars Oliver Hardy, Larry Semon, and Dorothy Dwan. The film follows Kid Speed, a fearless race car driver who is constantly getting himself into trouble. He is constantly being chased by the police, and has to use his quick wit and fast driving skills to get out of trouble. Along the way, he meets a beautiful woman named Margie, who he falls in love with.

The film opens with Kid Speed participating in a race. He is driving recklessly, causing chaos on the track. Meanwhile, the other drivers are getting frustrated with him and the audience is cheering him on. As he is about to cross the finish line, he crashes into another car and gets thrown into the air. The crowd is shocked, but he survives and is back on his feet in no time.

After the race, Kid Speed heads to a local restaurant where he meets Margie, a beautiful woman who works as a waitress. They hit it off right away and start talking. However, their conversation is cut short when the owner of the restaurant, who is also Margie's boss, tells her to get back to work.

Kid Speed decides to take Margie out on a date, so he borrows a car from one of his friends. They drive around the city, causing chaos wherever they go. They get chased by the police, but Kid Speed manages to evade them by driving through a busy market and narrowly avoiding a collision with a tram.

The next day, Kid Speed is involved in another race. However, this time he is racing against his arch-nemesis, Larry Beal. The race is intense, and Kid Speed is doing everything he can to stay ahead. However, Larry is determined to win, and is doing everything he can to sabotage Kid Speed. The race comes down to the wire, and in the end, Kid Speed manages to cross the finish line first.

Kid Speed's victory is short-lived, however, as he is immediately arrested by the police. Margie tries to plead with the police, but it is no use. Kid Speed is thrown into jail, where he meets Oliver, another prisoner who he quickly befriends.

While in jail, Kid Speed comes up with a plan to escape. He and Oliver manage to steal the keys from the guard and make a run for it. They are chased through the city by the police, but Kid Speed manages to outsmart them once again by driving off a cliff and safely landing in a river below.

The film ends with Kid Speed and Margie driving off into the sunset together, with Oliver following close behind.
