Immortal Beloved

Anton's search deepens as he finds out that the Immortal Beloved is actually Beethoven's sister in law Johanna, which his very own brother married. What was not known was that Beethoven and Johanna were lovers, and that she became pregnant by Beethoven. He was not able to marry her at the time, so she married his brother Kaspar. Kaspar believed that the baby boy was his and not his brother Beethoven's. His love for this woman has tortured him his whole life, and plus the loss of his hearing sets him into even more turmoil. Beethoven decides to raise his nephew who is actually his son named Karl van Beethoven so that he can make him an aspiring musician like himself. But poor Beethoven is unable to make Karl into the musician that he wants him to be. The secret life of Beethoven is finally exposed to all. Finally Anton has solved the mystery of who the Immortal Beloved is. This film is historically true and is a fascinating dictation of Beethoven's life.
