Decoys, released in 2004, is a Canadian science fiction horror film directed by Matthew Hastings. The cast includes Corey Sevier as Luke Callahan, Stefanie von Pfetten as Detective Amanda Watts, and Kim Poirier as Lilly.

The movie starts with two college students, Luke and Roger, driving home from a party one night. They encounter two beautiful women, Constance and Trina, who are stuck on the side of the road in the middle of winter with a dead car battery. The girls invite the boys to a party at their sorority house, which is conveniently located right around the corner.

Once inside the sorority house, Luke and Roger immediately notice that the girls are acting strange. They soon learn that Constance and Trina are not what they seem. In fact, they are aliens who have come to mate with human men, reproduce and lay eggs.

Meanwhile, Detective Amanda Watts has been investigating a series of mysterious deaths that seem to be linked to the sorority house. As the investigation unfolds, Amanda learns about the aliens and teams up with Luke to try and stop them.

Decoys is a typical low budget horror movie, with a fairly predictable plot, mediocre acting, and a sprinkle of sci-fi. The film has some comedic elements, with a lot of suggestive dialogue and sexual innuendo, that undoubtedly adds to the entertainment value.

The special effects are decent, but not particularly impressive. The alien creatures look a bit like rubbery mannequins, which diminishes their impact as scary monsters. Despite this, the movie does have a few tense and thrilling scenes, particularly towards the end.

One of the highlights of the movie is definitely the performance of Stefanie von Pfetten as Detective Amanda Watts. She is convincing as a tough, no-nonsense cop who is dedicated to solving the case, even if it means putting herself directly in harm's way. Kim Poirier also delivers a suitably sassy and seductive performance as Lilly.

Corey Sevier, on the other hand, has a somewhat wooden performance as Luke Callahan. He does not bring much depth to the character, which means that the audience does not really have much invested in whether he survives or not.

In terms of overall plot, Decoys is not particularly original. The notion of aliens coming to earth to mate with humans has been explored in various other movies before. The unique twist that this movie brings is the idea of the aliens taking on a form that is particularly alluring to men, in order to seduce them.

Despite its flaws, Decoys is an enjoyable B-movie that is perfect for fans of science fiction horror. It does not take itself too seriously and is definitely one for fans of the genre to check out. However, do not expect it to change your life or be a masterpiece in any sense. It is simply a fun, silly movie to pass the time with.
