Chandramukhi

Chandramukhi is a 2005 Tamil-language horror-comedy film directed by P. Vasu, starring Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Jyotika and Nayanthara. The film is a remake of the 2004 Kannada-language film Apthamitra.

The story revolves around Senthilnathan (Prabhu), a psychiatrist who is called in to investigate the strange behaviour of a family residing in a mansion named Vettaiyan Raja Veedu. The mansion belonged to a king who lived in the 18th century and is believed to be haunted by the ghost of the king's lover Chandramukhi. Senthilnathan, along with his friend Ganga (Jyotika), starts investigating the case and soon comes face to face with the ghost of Chandramukhi.

Rajinikanth plays the role of Vettaiyan, a mysterious man who owns the mansion and has a deep connection with Chandramukhi. The plot thickens as Senthilnathan discovers the shocking truth about Vettaiyan and the reason behind the haunting of the mansion.
