Casa de Lava

The nurse Mariana has had enough of her depressing life and the way things have been going. So when Leao who happens to be an immigrant worker from the strange Cape Verde islands gets injured on the job and placed in a coma she decides to travel with him to his home.

Once she is there the current residents of his quaint little town continuously make Mariana more depressed as they share their meager lives and stories with her. Giving Mariana room for thought as she reevaluates her previous life and what she left behind in the process of helping one man.
