Between Love and Hate

Between Love and Hate starring Susan Lucci is a tale of love that ends in a terrible state. She plays a married woman who is beginning to fall slowly out of love and into a hatred state with her husband. She looks to make herself fall in love with someone new. The story takes place in Mississippi. The movie is based off of a true story and true events which took place in this seemingly unknown case. The movie is the tale of a younger man and older woman who begin to have an affair.

The two lovers begin to send love notes and display their love openly to each other and in secret to the world. The young man is a diving coach and only 20 years old. The woman in the story is a teacher at a local school. She is no longer happy in her home life with her husband and kids and begins regretting the life she chose. When she starts to have the affair she is happy again for the first time in a long time.

Although the main character, Vivian Conrad is very happy she does not see how unhappy the hidden affair is making her lover, Matt Templeton. Before they know it, their love is spiraling out of control and he becomes depressed and his family starts to notice, he slowly becomes suicidal and doesn't know what to do with his life.

The lover of Vivian, Matt, can no longer take their hidden love and commits murder. He takes the life of the person he was in the love affair with. The friends and family of the two lovers are so confused and surprised. The movie goes through all of the real life events that happened to the lovers in the small town of Jackson, Mississippi. This tale takes the unknown happenings of what was going on in the love affair and what happens in Matt Templeton's head as he took the life of his hidden love affair, Vivian. He pleads guilty immediately and begins his long road through the court system.
