31 North 62 East is a British suspense film released in 2009. Its title refers to the coordinates in Afghanistan where a clandestine Special Air Service unit is ambushed by troops loyal to an Afghan Sheik. Though presumed dead, lone survivor Captain Jill Mandelson returns to the United Kingdom to work with her twin sister, Kimberly, to uncover the traitorous plot that caused the attack. Together, they collaborate with the French Secret Service to reveal corruption deeply rooted in the highest echelons of British politics. Their investigation uncovers a lucrative arms deal and the unexpected involvement of the Prime Minister himself.
