When a reviled horror author plummets to his death from atop a hotel bell tower, an eyewitness (Kim Delaney) spots disgruntled book publisher Jordan (Robert Stack) at the crime scene. An old friend of Jordan's, expert defense attorney Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) steps in to prove his innocence.
