My Father’s Glory is a 1990 French biographical drama film by director Yves Robert, based on the novel of the same name by Marcel Pagnol. The award-winning movie is about the young Marcel (Julien Ciamaca), who was born in the country but raised in Marseille. When Marcel’s atheist father, Joseph Pagnol (Philippe Caubere), and his religious uncle, Jules (Didier Pain), decide to take their respective families out to the country over a summer, Marcel finds himself embarking in a coming-of-age journey of self-discovery.
