Honeydripper

Honeydripper is a 2007 crime drama directed by John Sayles. The film is set in 1950s Alabama, a time when Jim Crow laws were still in effect. Tyrone Purvis (Danny Glover) is the owner of the Honeydripper lounge and an amazing pianist. Unfortunately, Tyrone is losing business to a rival restaurant, Touissant. Due to the decrease in business, Tyrone is at risk of losing the lounge he owes money for liquor, food, entertainment and there is just no money to pay off the debts. Tyrone knows the only chance he has to save Honeydripper is to get more customers in the door, but that just is not happening. Then Tyrone hears a rumor that a legendary New Orleans guitarist is coming to town. The bar owner thinks this is his only shot to save his beloved lounge. Can Tyrone lure the guitarist to the Honeydripper and if he does is it enough to save his bar? MORE [EDIT]
