Angels in the Outfield is a 1994 fantasy-comedy film that was remade from a 1951 movie with the same name. A young boy named Roger (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) ends up in foster care following the passing of his mother. Roger wants to live with his dad, who is unfortunately too irresponsible to parent his child and can only muster occasional visits with his son. But, although he does not live with his father, he still had limited contact with him. On one particular occasion, Roger asks his dad when he can come and live with him again, to which his father relies "I'd say when the Angels win the pennant." Being the ever-hopeful child that he is, Roger then prays to God that the Angels do indeed win so that he can be with his father MORE [EDIT]
