Robert's prolonged illness places his wife Barbara and daughter Megan on opposite sides of his care, with arguments over medication, treatment, and the choices made during his final days. After his death, Barbara refuses to let his body leave the family home and reveals that she has hired a mysterious practitioner to attempt a resurrection. Megan initially rejects the ritual, but memories of Robert and repeated visions persuade her to stay with her mother.
