Sarah, an infectious disease specialist, portrayed by Erica Leerhsen, becomes Frank's accomplice in trying to stop the organism from wreaking havoc on life as they know it. The duo must overcome mounting obstacles and formulate a way to neutralize the growing organism while fighting their own personal demons.

Amidst the prevailing eeriness and mounting tension, the organic life form starts to evolve and proliferate, absorbing every form of living matter it encounters. The organism seems to be virtually unstoppable, being resistant to all known forms of weaponry. The protagonist's world becomes a living nightmare as he navigates an escalating crisis that could lead to the extinction of life.
