Decades after it ended the Vietnam War might seem like a remote affair. In fact, it was an enormous conflict, the longest war in American history and the only one from which the USA did not emerge victoriously. During, a greater tonnage of bombs were dropped than in WWII. It was the war in which the helicopter came into its own and where every type of aircraft was used.
