Spending her ordinary days working as a cashier at a local supermarket and her lonely nights holed up in her parents' apartment, solitary Anna can't stand the thought of breaking out of her holy daily routine. Then, out of the blue, a neighbour goes missing, and Persa, his energetic ten-year-old daughter, shows up outside Anna's door.
