Upright Citizens Brigade

Upright Citizens Brigade is an improv and sketch comedy group from Chicago, Illinois. Upright Citizens Brigade also had an eponymous television series that aired on Comedy Central from 1998 to 2000 for a total of 30 episodes. The show featured Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh as a fictional version of the Upright Citizens Brigade donning the names Adair (Besser), Colby (Poehler), Antoine (Roberts), and Trotter (Walsh). These scenes would tie together external sketches also starring the main cast which all operated under a theme running through the episode. The sketches would then tie together in the final segment and conclude the theme of the episode. In addition to written and produced sketches, the group would pull subversive hidden camera style pranks on unsuspecting members of society like trying to buy fictional drugs from people or attempting to promote baby fights that would run over the credits of episodes.
