Rodney Carrington, also known simply as 'Rodney' was a TV sitcom that aired on ABC. 'Rodney' was created by Ric Swartzlander and ran for 2 seasons, from September 21, 2004 to June 6, 2006. The show centered on the character Rodney Hamilton (Rodney Carrington) who wants to leave his job in Tulsa, Oklahoma to begin a new career as a stand-up comedian. Main characters in the show included Rodney's wife Trina (Jennifer Aspen) and his sons Jack (Oliver Davis) and Bo (Matthew Josten). His two sons were often seen fighting on the show. Rodney was often around his best friend Barry Martin (Nick Searcy), who was often attempting to escape his wife. Officer Gerald Bob (Jon Reep) made many appearances on the show as well, as he was having sexual relations with Rodney's sister-in-law Charlie (Amy Pietz).
