Festival Shorts Collection, as its name implies, is a collection of short films that have been featured at different festivals. Each short is rich, complex, unique and comes from a different part of the world. "The Great Zambini" from Spain follows an aging circus performer and his son. The animated "Man in the Moon" comes from Germany and follows the story of the man on the moon of lore as he gets ready for the landing of the 1969 moon landing mission. France offers up two films. First, there is a hilarious dance lesson in the short, "The Dance Lesson." Later, "Aided Migration" is the story of a bird who must migrate by plane instead of the usual way. A man's plans to call in a sick day to play hookie from work are thwarted in Great Britain's "The Sickie." Like France, Canada has multiple films in this collection. "Diamonds in a Bucket" is a love-story between a doormat of a woman and a bad musician, and is the longest film of the bunch. "No Bikini" is the story of a feminist revolt, and rounding out the bunch is the short stop-animation "A Half Man."MORE
