After years of establishing his name in clubs and achieving minor exposure in film and television, he got his chance at a weekly sketch comedy show on Comedy Central. Chappelle's Show captured audiences with consistently high quality comedy based around themes of race in America and other social and political commentaries. With his show he exemplified the dedication to comedy and his affection for all forms of entertainment. Following the end of the show, he returned to his stand-up career, performing in venues of all sizes around the country.
