Amplified

Amplified is a music video and blog site from ABC News spotlighting the latest bands and trends in the contemporary music scene. The site offers weekly interviews with established and upcoming artists with ABC's Dan Harris who moonlights as a foreign correspondent for the network as well as the weekend anchor for Good Morning America. Interviews have included established artists such as Cee-Lo Green and Duran, Duran as well as lesser known acts like DOM and Apex Manor. The Amplified Blog has covered issues affecting the music industry such as the lack of health care coverage for many musicians and the free clinics set up for their needs. Amplified recently covered a strike spearheaded by musicians in Arizona to protest that state's stringent immigration laws. The site has offered extensive coverage of musical events like the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas and the CMJ Music Marathon in New York.
