Zorro's Black Whip is a serial film. It was released in 1944 and the leading character was assigned to Linda Sterling. Linda Sterling's name in the film is Barbera. The western American state of Idaho serves as the setting of the film. The heroin Barbera's brother "The Real Black Whip" is running a newspaper in the town. He is in the favor of statehood and he dies. Later on his role is assumed by his sister Barbera. She fights in disguise with villain of the film Hammond (Francis Mcdonald) who wants to see Idaho as an Independent state. U.S government agent Vic Gordon (George J. Lewis) is also helpful for Barbera. Barbera wears black and uses a pistol to protect the settlers of the state. She is also seen engaged in wrestling with men. Since she is in disguise so she is a mystery for the gang of outlaws. In the end Barbera confronts Hammond in final showdown when the town votes on whether or not to accept the state hood, so the movie is with cliffhanger ending.MORE
