You're Beautiful

You're Beautiful is a 2009 Korean drama series starring Park Shin Hye and Jang Geun Suk in another brilliant romantic comedy from the lauded Hong Sisters (My Girl, Delightful Girl Chun-Hyang) about a reserved and na've nun-in-training whose life gets turned upside-down when she pretends to be a boy in order to join a pop music group. Go Mi Nyu (Park Shin Hye) and her twin brother were abandoned as children and raised in a convent, away from the excitement and corruption of the real world. As young adults, Go Mi Nyu studies to become a nun while her brother pursues a music career, hoping to become famous enough to track down their real mother someday. Her brother is accepted into an up-and-coming all-boy pop group, but suddenly must fly to America in order to fix some bad plastic surgery. Unwilling to give up on their dream of finding their real mom, Go Mi Nyu pretends to be her brother, throwing herself into the harsh realities of the pop music industry.
