Young American Bodies is a web series airing on IFC.com and IFC. Produced, written, and directed by Joe Swanberg (Hannah Takes The Stairs, LOL) and co-produced by Swanberg's wife Kris Williams, the show follows a group of twenty-somethings living in Chicago as they balance work, relationships, and life. Swanberg and Williams also star in the series as Ben and Dia, respectively. Like Swanberg's films, Young American Bodies shares a similar low-key aesthetic and features realistic conversations between young couples. Critics consider many of these characteristics part of an independent film movement called Mumblecore, which was the result of several low-budget films appearing in film festivals within months of another. Others believe this term is shallow and inaccurate. Before premiering on IFC and IFC.com, Young American Bodies was originally featured on Nerve.com.MORE
