Woody Woodpecker (New)

The New Woody Woodpecker Show is an animated cartoon series that originally aired on FOX Kids and is based on the classic cartoon created by Walter Lantz in 1940 that features Woody Woodpecker himself and his classic friend Chilly Willy. Woody Woodpecker was a zany woodpecker that would embark on precarious escapades with his accomplices such as Andy Panda and Chilly Willy. Several characters from the classic series are also revived in this new version as well as a slew of new and just as exciting characters. Woody Woodpecker was given his own theme song that included the use of his infamous laugh. The theme song quickly became one of the biggest hit singles of 1948 and went on to being nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song.
