Wilfred

Wilfred is the FX sitcom about a man trying to make his way through the world, who befriends a very unique dog. The show is an adaptation of the Australian series of the same name, which was broadcast in 2007 and was based on the 2002 short film by Adam Zwar and Jason Gann. Wilfred tells the story of Ryan (Elijah Wood), a struggling young man trying to find his way, who forms a friendship with his neighbor's dog Wilfred (Jason Gann). To everyone else in the world, Wilfred is just a dog, but Ryan sees him as an Australian man in a cheap dog suit. The introvert Ryan struggles to find happiness in his social and professional life, and the surly and brave Wilfred provides an opposite outlook. Wilfred leads Ryan on some hilarious adventures, pushing him out of his shell and helping him overcome his fears and experience life. The series also stars Fiona Gubelmann as Ryan's beautiful neighbor and owner of Wilfred, Jenna, and Dorian Brown as Ryan's sister Jenna.
