Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?

Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? is an American animated children's television series produced by DIC/Program Exchange. Currently in reruns on The Worship Channel, Sandiego was originally produced in 1994 for the Fox Network. With a total of forty episodes, the series ran for four seasons and ended in 1999. Similar to other shows in the Sandiego franchise, the premise involved the ACME Detective Agency in their quest to stop their title character's plot to steal artifacts from around the world. Zack and Ivy, the heroes of the show and ACME employees, regularly fought a battle of wits with Carmen and her henchmen at V.I.L.E. While other shows in the Carmen franchise took a slightly more humorous tone, this particular series found its niche by portraying Carmen and her henchmen seriously. Near the end of the series, Sandiego, who only steals for a challenge and maintains a strict moral code, regularly found herself working alongside Zack and Ivy as they struggled to stop evil-doers of greater threat than Sandiego.
