Waiting for God

Waiting for God is a comedic TV series developed by BBC that follows Diana Trent (Stephanie Cole) and Tom Ballard (Graham Crowden), two rabble-rousers who spend their retirement trying to corrupt and subvert the normal course of life at their retirement home. Diana had been a photojournalist, having spent her life making a career of documenting all of the most dangerous events in her lifetime, but when she finds her cynical self alone with little family to speak of. For Tom, his family exiled him to the regimented Bayview in a bid of convenience due to his exaggerated bouts of dementia. Tired of being patronized and cast aside, the two join forces to taunt and take down Bayview, much to the chagrin of the manager Harvey Baines (Daniel Hill) and his assistant Jane Edwards (Janine Duvitski). Based on the stereotypical ideas of the behaviors of the not-quite-there older population, Waiting for God is a tongue-in-cheek look at what happens when they take control and refuse to act their age.
