VH1 Divas

VH1 Divas Live 2009 is the 8th edition of the Vh1 live concert series celebrating women in music, and the first in five years. The concerts began as a fundraiser for the Vh1 channel's Save the Music Foundation and 2009 also benefited the foundation. The show took place on September 17th, 2009 at the Howard Gilman Opera House of the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York. Your host for the evening is pop star and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul, who also performed the opening of the show. Divas 2009 continued the tradition of all-star collaborations of some music's biggest hits. The concert features headline performances from Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson, Adele and Miley Cyrus. They are joined by special guest performers Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Wonder, India Arie, Martina McBride and Sheryl Crow. Presenters include Keri Hilson, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port Toni Braxton and members of the cast of Fame. MORE
