Unsolved Mysteries

Unsolved Mysteries is an investigative documentary TV series where host Robert Stack, replaced by Dennis Farina in 2008, takes you through real-life mysteries ranging from murder to paranormal cases that have gone unexplained. Unsolved Mysteries dives into real mysteries, using reenactments where actors play the victims, criminals, and witnesses, acting out the story that the real people involved give in their interspersed interview segments. The cases usually fall into four categories. Criminal cases include abductions, suspicious deaths and homicides, where the suspects were unknown or never found. Lost love cases are those of people trying to reunite who were separated without knowing how to contact or find the persons. Unexplained history cases are those that examine historical events we take for granted, but that some people have alternate theories for. Finally there are paranormal matters, the cases that deal with miracles, UFO and alien sightings and encounters, ghosts and haunting, and mythical creatures like Bigfoot. On the air since 1987, the show has had around 1200 cases, and has solved almost half of their Unsolved Mysteries. MORE
