Two Guys and a Girl was a sitcom from ABC that starred Ryan Reynolds, Richard Ruccolo, Tralor Howard, Nathan Fillion, and Suzanne Cryer. Originally called "Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place," this half hour comedy follows the friendship of Michael “Berg” Bergen (Ryan Reynolds), Pete Dunville (Richard Ruccolo) and Sharon Carter (Traylor Howard), who met while attending Tufts University. Berg and Pete are roommates and co-workers at Beacon Street Pizza. Berg later pursues a career in medicine while Pete becomes a career counselor. The second season introduced jukebox repairman Johnny (Nathan Fillion) and Berg’s medical school friend Ashley (Suzanne Cryer). The show was initially successful but suffered when ABC moved it from midweek to Friday nights. The format of the show changed over time as well, as characters and plotlines often disappeared with no explanation. By season three, the setting of the pizza place was completely abandoned from the plot. After ratings plummeted, ABC tried to fix its error by moving the show back to its former spot, but it failed and Two Guys and a Girl was cancelled after a four-season run.MORE
