Turf War

Turf War is a landscape competition television show on the History Channel. The show takes two residential neighbors and challenges them to a two-day turf tug-of-war against one another in this landscaping extravaganza. The objective? Win best yard on the block. The show is hosted by licensed landscaping veteran, Ahmed Hassan. Each episode, two neighboring families are given the same materials, the same time frame, and the help of Ahmed's expert team of landscapers, to transform their less than impressive yards into an artful exhibition of dirt design. Ahmed doesn't hesitate to slide in from time-to-time to barrage the families with advice, criticism, and a touch of his own magic. When the clock runs out it is up to Ahmed and surrounding neighbors to decide who has created the better outdoor space. The winner gets a whopping $5,000 and the respect of the block. Most importantly, the viewers get to witness startling terrain transformations. MORE
