Toxic Crusaders

Toxic Crusaders is the animated series based on Troma Entertainment's cult classic comedy horror film The Toxic Avenger. The film was largely ignored on first release, but later caught on, generating three sequels, a stage musical, and the children's TV cartoon, Toxic Crusaders. Toxic Crusaders follows the life of Melvin Junko, a scrawny nerd whose life changes dramatically when he is exposed to toxic waste. It mutates the nerd into a deformed creature with superhuman powers, though he sill has a good heart underneath. He becomes Toxie, and goes on a quest to stop polluters using his abilities and superpowered mop. Joining him are the big-nosed NoZone, the junkyard dog-human hybrid Junkyard, the split personality mad scientist Headbanger, and the plant-controlling Major Disaster.
