Total Drama Island, or TDI for short, is a Cartoon Network animated series where host Chris McLean takes twenty-two teens including Heather, Gwen, Lindsay, Cody, Harold, Chris, Eva, Lashawna and Jeff to Camp Wawanakwa where they compete in Survivor-like challenges that spoof the world of TV reality competitions. The contestants are stereotypical teens, with Bridgette the vegetarian surfer chick, Cody the suburban geek, Duncan the punk-rock bad boy, and Lindsay the dumb blonde. The teens live on a fictional island in Muskoka, Ontario, competing every three days in challenges, where the losing team is called to a campfire after the event, and whoever doesn't get a marshmallow in the marshmallow ceremony must pack their bags and ride the Boat of Losers back home. The challenges are strange and hilarious, like the Awake-A-Thon, where they don't sleep for 3 days, Sofa Bed Skydiving, and water-skiing on dry land.
